Staff Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join a fast‑growing consumer technology company building AI‑powered products used by millions worldwide. This fully remote, full‑time position offers high impact and direct influence over product and engineering direction.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end feature development, from concept through production and iteration.
• Collaborate with company leadership and a small engineering team to define what should be built and why.
• Turn ambiguous ideas into concrete, user‑facing products without waiting for complete specifications.
• Make strong technical and product decisions, challenge assumptions, and propose better solutions.
• Build and ship complex features for a large global consumer audience.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to move projects forward.
• Leverage modern AI and agentic development tools to accelerate development.
• Contribute to the technical direction and engineering culture of a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production software.
• Experience building and launching consumer‑facing products at meaningful scale.
• Demonstrated ability to own complex features or products end to end.
• Background in high‑autonomy environments such as early‑stage startups or founding engineering roles.
• Strong product sense and ability to understand user impact of technical decisions.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and defining solutions without detailed specifications.
• Bias toward action, experimentation, and rapid shipping.

Required skills

• Fluent English communication.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and modern developer tooling to increase engineering velocity.
