Backend Engineer – PHP & Golang

About the role

Xsolla is seeking a Backend Engineer who is curious, collaborative, and eager to grow in a fast‑paced environment. You will develop and maintain scalable backend services that power innovative products used by game developers and players worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain new backend functionality and services.
• Propose and drive improvements to existing products.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and QA to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Own production code by monitoring, debugging, and continuously improving performance and reliability.
• Write automated tests and follow CI/CD best practices for high‑quality deployments.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong programming experience with PHP and/or Golang.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, OOP, and design patterns.
• Ability to write clean, testable code including unit and functional tests.
• Good command of SQL, database design, and OLTP/OLAP concepts.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with English proficiency at B2 level.
