Java Software Architect

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Java Software Architect to lead the assessment, modernisation, and migration of enterprise Java applications. The role combines technical leadership with practical implementation, guiding development teams through complex migration initiatives while ensuring security, performance, and business value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture assessment, modernisation planning, and migration of enterprise Java applications.
• Define technical architecture, design patterns, coding guidelines, and best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Assess application dependencies, frameworks, integrations, and infrastructure to identify migration impacts.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical specifications, solution designs, and migration runbooks.
• Provide hands‑on guidance to development teams and resolve technical risks, compatibility issues, and blockers.
• Design and implement integration solutions using REST APIs, messaging platforms, event‑driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools for application discovery, code analysis, remediation, testing, and documentation.
• Mentor developers and technical leads, promoting engineering excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience designing and modernising large‑scale Java/Jakarta EE applications.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and communicate with architects, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
