PHP Developer

About the role

FasterPay is a fast‑growing fintech company dedicated to building secure and seamless payment experiences worldwide. We are looking for a technically skilled, detail‑oriented Software Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about developing and optimizing payment infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server‑side applications in PHP and related frameworks.
• Create and support RESTful APIs and integration interfaces with internal and external systems.
• Implement third‑party and payment‑related integrations.
• Develop user‑facing features using JavaScript, React, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Design, optimise, and maintain MySQL database schemas and queries.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional software.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability and security.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve technical issues, including production incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluency in English and Russian.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with PHP development.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Zend Framework/Laminas.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with MySQL, database design and optimisation, as well as other SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented PHP programming and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Git, continuous integration/deployment pipelines and RESTful API design.
