Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of NCR Voyix software products throughout the development lifecycle. Working closely with product managers, developers, DevOps, and release teams, you will define quality strategies, execute testing, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in requirements reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.
• Define test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases covering functional, integration, regression, end‑to‑end, and exploratory testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and improve automation coverage.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Support root‑cause analysis for incidents and production problems.
• Communicate testing progress, quality risks, and release readiness in Agile ceremonies.
• Recommend process, tool, and methodology improvements and contribute to quality metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles and Agile practices.
