Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure & Backend)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Belgrade team and drive the evolution of our Cloud OTA (COTA) platform. The role combines infrastructure product thinking with backend development, ensuring high‑performance micro‑services run on a cutting‑edge Kubernetes‑native control plane.

Key responsibilities

• Lead migration of the global COTA infrastructure from Terraform/Terragrunt to a Kubernetes‑native control plane using Crossplane.
• Design and implement resilient micro‑services in Java, Python and Go for large‑scale vehicle software updates.
• Own GitOps and CI/CD pipelines with Argo CD and GitLab CI/CD, managing deployment lifecycles across regions.
• Maintain full‑stack ownership of the AWS ecosystem (EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Kinesis, EventBridge) to ensure scalability and resilience.
• Establish observability standards with Datadog and Prometheus, guaranteeing high availability and zero‑downtime releases.
• Provide technical mentorship and define engineering standards for the growing Belgrade team.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in backend or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong “platform‑first” mindset, treating infrastructure as a product.
• Proven ability to lead complex migration projects and mentor engineers.
