Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at Brose Group, you will lead the development and management of electronic component suppliers to meet automotive industry standards. You will ensure high‑quality performance through audits, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop suppliers of electronic components in line with automotive requirements.
• Plan, conduct and follow up system, process and product audits at supplier sites according to VDA 6.3.
• Handle supplier complaints using structured methods such as 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa and other quality tools.
• Monitor, analyse and improve supplier quality KPIs.
• Define, implement and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead supplier quality escalations and coordinate cross‑functional activities.
• Manage containment activities (CSL1, CSL2, Safe Launch, etc.).
• Analyse laboratory and measurement results for electronic components.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Customer Quality departments.
• Support internal, external, customer and certification audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Assurance within the automotive industry.
• Proven experience with electronic components such as PCBs, sensors, ECUs, connectors and semiconductors.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA requirements and AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Experience conducting VDA 6.3 process audits.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
