Structural Engineer – Residential & Utility Construction

About the role

We are looking for a methodical Structural Engineer with 3‑5 years of experience to join our Belgrade office. You will work within a dedicated engineering team supporting Van Wijnen Engineering on residential and utility construction projects, handling calculations from design through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Independently prepare structural calculations for foundations, load‑bearing elements, stability and wind loads.
• Translate calculations into structural models and execution‑ready drawings using Revit, Allplan, SCIA or Technosoft.
• Work across concrete structures – both prefabricated and cast‑in‑place – on projects ranging from low‑rise housing to high‑rise buildings.
• Stay involved throughout the project lifecycle, reviewing reinforced concrete on site before casting.
• Identify risks, deviations and optimisation opportunities, collaborating on efficiency, safety, buildability and cost.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a structural engineer with strong hands‑on concrete experience.
• Master’s degree in structural engineering from a Serbian technical faculty.
• Proficiency with at least one of Revit, Allplan, SCIA or Technosoft (Technosoft a plus).
• Ability to communicate daily in written and spoken English with Dutch colleagues.
• Team‑oriented mindset focused on efficiency, safety and cost.
