Business Development Director – Consulting & Analytics

About the role

Mastercard Services is looking for a Business Development Director to lead the growth of its Consulting and Analytics portfolio across Southeast Europe, with primary focus on Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro. The role combines strategic sales, client acquisition and consultative advisory to expand Mastercard’s footprint in both financial‑institution and non‑financial‑institution markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the growth strategy for Mastercard Services in the assigned territories.
• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities with clients across multiple industries, especially in non‑FI segments.
• Lead senior‑level client discussions, positioning Mastercard Services as a strategic partner.
• Translate complex client needs into clear commercial proposals using Mastercard’s global Services portfolio.
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure and handover to delivery teams.
• Collaborate with internal specialists and regional teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales leadership, preferably within consulting or analytics services.
• Strong track record of acquiring new clients in non‑FI sectors and expanding relationships within FI institutions.
• Ability to engage senior decision‑makers and act as a trusted advisor.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience structuring ambiguous problems into commercial opportunities.
