Accountant

About the role

TAU FINANSIJE d.o.o. is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its finance team in Belgrade. The role involves handling a full spectrum of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with Serbian accounting standards and international reporting frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Control posted business transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
• Record and manage input and output VAT, calculate liabilities, and submit VAT returns.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and calculate depreciation.
• Post domestic and international invoices, handling both purchases and sales.
• Reconcile receivables and payables with customers and suppliers.
• Post loans, leasing agreements, and other financial obligations.
• Prepare final accounts in accordance with MRS/MSFI and compile tax returns and reports.
• Produce internal and external financial reports to monitor business performance.
• Monitor and apply relevant tax, accounting, and financial regulations.
• Contribute to the development and training of department staff.
• Perform other accounting duties as required.

Required profile

• Higher or advanced professional degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong command of business English.
• Adaptable, resourceful and able to work independently.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and precision.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a positive outlook.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
