Accounts Payable Associate – Shared Services

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to join Magna’s new Shared Services Center. The role supports global financial operations in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring timely processing of vendor invoices and payments across several European countries.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and execute payments accurately and on schedule.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Controlling, HR, IT and other internal departments.
• Document and help standardise AP procedures.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding AP transactions.

Required profile

• Completed commercial education or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting or business administration.
• Initial experience in accounts payable or general accounting; experience in a shared‑service or international environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, affinity for numbers and a proactive, hands‑on attitude.
• Team player with good communication skills and a structured, independent working style.
• Good written and spoken English; additional language skills (e.g., German) are beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications.
