Business Development Manager – Serbia

About the role

GenePlanet is launching an innovative multi‑cancer screening test in Serbia and seeks a Business Development Manager to lead the market entry. You will act as the bridge between cutting‑edge scientific research and the local healthcare ecosystem, building high‑trust partnerships with clinics, hospitals and key opinion leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the go‑to‑market launch of the novel cancer‑screening test, from positioning to commercial rollout.
• Establish and manage relationships with private clinics, hospitals, laboratories, general practitioners and key opinion leaders.
• Co‑develop and implement a long‑term growth strategy for the Serbian market.
• Execute annual plans against defined targets and budgets to ensure revenue and profitability growth.
• Conduct trainings and educational activities to ensure strong product knowledge across partners.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and proactively identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• University degree in a natural‑science field (biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacy, medicine or similar).
• 5+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical or diagnostics sectors.
• Proven ability to build networks, negotiate and close deals.
• Strategic thinker with strong hands‑on implementation skills.
• Self‑driven, results‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Fluent in Serbian and English.
• Knowledge of oncology or an established network in Serbia’s private healthcare sector is a plus.
