Chief Accountant

About the role

Netcracker, a leader in telecom software and services, is looking for a Chief Accountant to support the financial operations of its Serbian legal entity. You will join the EMEA Financial Support Group and ensure accurate, compliant accounting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll for 100+ employees and manage related reporting.
• Handle intercompany transactions, vendor invoices, and employee expense reimbursements in the ERP system.
• Prepare annual income tax returns, monthly VAT declarations, and other statutory reports.
• Conduct month‑end and year‑end management reporting and support financial planning for cash and expenses.
• Prepare and analyse annual financial statements and present findings to management.
• Communicate with tax, statistics, and registration authorities and review relevant legal frameworks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in Serbia.
• Strong knowledge of Serbian accounting and tax legislation and IFRS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
