Chief Accountant – Serbia

About the role

As Chief Accountant you will be the financial backbone of the Compressor Technique organization in Serbia, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with local regulations and Atlas Copco Group standards, and supporting business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger, purchase, sales and stock accounting in the ERP system.
• Prepare and deliver timely financial statements and reports, ensuring statutory and tax compliance.
• Monitor cash flow, assets, inventories and receivables, and support forecasting and financial follow‑up.
• Maintain strong internal controls, coordinate internal and external audits, and manage relationships with auditors, banks and authorities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, regional teams and the Brno Hub to align financial processes.
• Oversee HR administration compliance related to employment documentation and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Local certification authorising accounting activities in Serbia.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and strong sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
