Controller, Finance & Controlling

About the role

Magna is seeking a Controller for its Business Services unit in Belgrade. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of operational departments, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Operational controlling of Business Services departments.
• Define, track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Perform variance analysis and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders and project teams.
• Develop forecasts and budgets in close cooperation with functional managers for both operational activities and projects.
• Conduct monthly financial result reviews with managers and support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analyses and presentations for senior management.
• Assist in pricing of services and drive projects to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Act as a business partner for department leads, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• Completed commercial or economic education (university or university of applied sciences) with a focus on finance or controlling.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling or similar roles.
• Strong analytical mindset, hands‑on attitude and ability to work independently with a high sense of responsibility.
• Team player with excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS/US‑GAAP) is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP FI/CO modules.
