FP&A Controller

About the role

The FP&A Controller will lead financial planning and analysis for Ball's Belgrade business unit, delivering accurate insights across revenue, metal, logistics, inventory, and SG&A costs. You will work closely with plant leadership and the EMEA FP&A team to support decision‑making and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly revenue calculations, including metal and currency settlements and volume rebates.
• Manage inventory valuation, stock provisions and revaluation adjustments.
• Monitor logistics costs, explain variances and cost drivers with operational teams.
• Oversee SG&A reporting and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Perform contribution margin analysis, assessing price, volume and mix impacts.
• Produce monthly financial reports with commentary on performance.
• Partner with accounting and operational finance during month‑end close.
• Support quarterly forecasts and the annual operating plan for revenue, metal, logistics and SG&A.
• Collaborate with the regional FP&A team to align reporting standards.
• Deliver financial insights and recommendations to local management.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis for plant and commercial stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local SOX reporting and control requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong financial planning, reporting and analytical abilities.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build effective cross‑functional relationships.
• Results‑driven, proactive and action‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar qualification (part‑qualified or completed) is an advantage.
