Game Designer – Remote

About the role

Novakid is a fast‑growing online English school for children that also develops learning games. They are looking for an experienced Game Designer to create fun, educational mobile games that keep kids engaged and returning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead game design in a small cross‑functional team building an educational game for kids.
• Design core loops, onboarding experiences and the game economy, including currencies, reward curves and progression pacing.
• Own features from concept through release and post‑launch iteration, tracking retention and engagement metrics.
• Plan and execute live‑ops such as seasons, events and recurring content loops.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts and academic experts to ensure educational goals are met.

Required profile

• 3+ years as a generalist game designer, preferably on free‑to‑play mobile titles.
• Hands‑on experience designing game economies and balancing reward systems.
• Strong analytical fluency with core F2P metrics and ability to form and test hypotheses.
• Excellent English (minimum B2) for meetings and documentation.

Required skills

• F2P mobile game design.
• Game economy design (currencies, reward curves, balancing).
• Writing build‑ready GDDs and product specifications.
• Data analytics and metric‑driven decision making.
• AI tools usage, including prompting, text‑to‑speech and speech‑to‑speech prototyping.
• Live‑ops planning (seasons, events, content cadence).
