General Ledger & Reporting Junior Specialist

About the role

As a Junior General Ledger & Reporting Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will support the finance team by handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, month‑end closing and ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with corporate guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting activities and month‑end closing procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to Corporate Finance and Accounting Guidelines and IFRS.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to Corporate Reporting on time.
• Identify control gaps, assess risks and recommend enhancements to the Internal Control System.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain complete financial records, coordinate audits and perform reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.
• Review, investigate and correct errors in financial entries and reports.
• Prepare statutory accounts and tax computations for legal entities.
• Prepare, review and analyse statutory financial statements and notes.
• Support transfer‑pricing reconciliation for countries in scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 1‑3 years of accounting and reporting experience in a multinational environment.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations and IFRS (desirable).
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
