Grants Payments Data Analyst

About the role

The Grants Payments Data Analyst will build and own a forecast model for needs outside of Medidata Payments, develop related processes, and integrate the model with existing Medidata forecasts. The role works closely with Revenue Recognition, Clinical Payments, Investigator Grants Payments, Project Analyst teams and other data contributors to create an end‑to‑end forecasting process for clinical site payments and deliver client‑ready forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Gather current site and patient enrollment data from Central Planning and Clinical Operations.
• Create, maintain, and improve a forecasting model for non‑Medidata payment needs.
• Link the new model with Medidata Payments forecasts.
• Collaborate with FP&A Revenue Recognition to ensure audit compliance.
• Produce client‑ready forecast deliverables per sponsor contracts.
• Perform forecast analysis, track plan vs. actuals, and report budget needs.
• Notify Project Analysts and Global Project Leads of forecast variances.
• Support year‑end and interim audit processes and final study close‑out reconciliation.

Required profile

• Ability to influence and challenge processes as needed.
• Understanding of site payment processes.
• Knowledge of accounting and revenue recognition standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with databases.
• Familiarity with accounting systems.
