Junior Accountant

About the role

Farmina Pet Foods is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support its finance team. You will handle journal entries, financial statements, and the day‑to‑day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with local regulations and group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, control, and archive documentation related to business activities.
• Prepare journal entries and post invoices in the accounting system.
• Maintain the cash register and perform cash postings.
• Conduct account analysis and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of documentation and compliance with legislation and group rules.
• Book passive invoices and perform general‑ledger postings.
• Handle tax compliance (CU, VAT, direct taxes).
• Support reporting and monthly closing activities.
• Control employee expenses using the SAP Concur platform.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, disciplined and able to work independently.
• University degree in Economics, preferably with a focus on accounting, audit or financial management.
• At least one year of experience in an accounting or corporate finance department.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Team‑oriented with solid organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with BI tools and ERP/CRM systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision (advantageous).
• Knowledge of SAP Concur expense management.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and rules.
