About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for a diversified holding group operating in Serbia and several international markets. The role involves overseeing bookkeeping, financial reporting, and team development across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organize the accounting function for several related companies.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant bookkeeping and ledger maintenance.
• Supervise processing of all financial documents, postings, calculations, and account reconciliations.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for all entities.
• Prepare individual and consolidated financial statements and other statutory and internal reports.
• Guarantee compliance with local regulations, IFRS, and internal policies.
• Develop and standardize accounting processes, internal controls, and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and governmental bodies.
• Provide analytical support to management on financial data and regulatory matters.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.

Required profile

• VII level of education, preferably a degree in Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and experience with financial system implementation.
