Physics Subject Matter Expert – Virtual & 3D Science Labs

About the role

As a Physics Subject Matter Expert you will create scientific and educational content for interactive virtual and 3D physics laboratories. You will transform traditional experiments into engaging digital experiences that allow students to explore phenomena, collect data and draw conclusions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of SMEs, managing workloads, priorities and content quality.
• Act as the main bridge between SMEs, product, design, Unity development and learning teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee workflow and ticketing processes, including task creation, follow‑up and final content checks before QA.
• Gather requirements for new content and translate pedagogical needs into clear, actionable tasks.
• Own content development, reviewing experiment design, UI/UX, assets and learning flows for scientific and pedagogical accuracy.
• Ensure all content complies with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
• Support the full lifecycle of content creation from concept through production readiness.
• Contribute to research proposals, presales activities and strategic partnership documentation.
• Provide expertise for large or strategic client engagements, onboarding and implementation guidance.

Required profile

• Strong physics expertise and experience creating educational content for virtual labs.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise subject‑matter experts.
• Experience collaborating with instructional designers, Unity developers, 3D designers and QA engineers.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a bridge between cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and educational best practices.
