About the role

UNIQA is looking for an Internal Audit Associate to join its SEE region team. You will support the internal audit function by applying global standards and ensuring compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit tasks in line with Global Internal Audit standards and UNIQA group regulations.
• Work independently while receiving guidance from your direct manager.
• Maintain communication and cooperation within the company and the wider UNIQA group.
• Prepare audit reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in follow‑up activities to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Carry out administrative duties related to internal audit processes.
• Monitor and apply relevant legal regulations affecting internal audit and the company’s operations.

Required profile

• Preferably some prior experience in internal audit or a similar field.
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Active proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Basic understanding of insurance, accounting and audit regulations.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development.
