Senior Editorial Designer

About the role

SiGMA is seeking a highly experienced Senior Editorial Designer to lead the design and production of its flagship print publications, including SiGMA Magazine and official event guides. The role is centred on print design, requiring deep knowledge of pre‑press, print specifications, and hands‑on coordination with printers and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and layout of SiGMA Magazine, event guides, and other long‑form editorial publications.
• Manage projects from concept development and pagination to final print delivery.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and events teams to translate content into strong visual narratives.
• Prepare and deliver print‑ready files, ensuring accuracy across specifications, colour, and pre‑press requirements.
• Coordinate directly with printers and production vendors, managing timelines, proofs, and final outputs.
• Maintain editorial design systems, including typography, grids, and layouts.
• Oversee production schedules, meet deadlines, and sign off on final printed materials.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in editorial or print design, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Proven track record designing magazines, event guides, or large‑scale editorial publications.
• Strong understanding of print production processes, pre‑press, and large‑format printing.
• Established network of printers and production vendors.
• Excellent eye for typography, layout, and editorial storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines simultaneously.
