Senior Product Designer

About the role

Altium is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape end‑to‑end experiences across its cloud platform, Altium 365. The role blends strategic vision with hands‑on design, creating data‑rich, collaborative workflows that enable engineering teams to work faster and more confidently. You will partner closely with product management, engineering, and research to translate ambiguous problems into clear, high‑quality product experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the design vision and end‑to‑end experience for key areas of Altium 365.
• Translate customer needs and business goals into design principles, user flows, information architecture, and interaction models.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI designs throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring responsiveness and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering leaders, and design‑system teams to align solutions with technical feasibility and business priorities.
• Mentor and provide expertise to other designers on the team.
• Conduct or contribute to user research, usability testing, and discovery work to validate design decisions.
• Document design rationale, flows, and specifications for engineering handoff and present work to stakeholders.
• Work closely with front‑end engineers to ensure faithful implementation and help close gaps between design intent and shipped experience.
• Audit shipped experiences, identify friction points, and drive iterative improvements based on data and feedback.
