Account Manager – Media Planning

About the role

WPP Media is seeking an Account Manager to lead day‑to‑day media planning activities and manage client relationships across assigned accounts. You will act as the primary liaison between brands and the agency, ensuring strategic media solutions are delivered and client expectations are exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, becoming their go‑to media partner.
• Lead internal and client status meetings alongside account directors, coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day primary point of contact for assigned brands.
• Develop, sell‑in, and execute media planning work on agreed projects, overseeing implementation.
• Brief media channel specialists on campaign requirements across the full media ecosystem.
• Provide expert insight into the local media market and respond to ad‑hoc client requests.
• Manage client finance, media delivery, and reporting processes in collaboration with the team.
• Delegate tasks, mentor junior planners and buyers, and ensure their skill development.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of junior staff, fostering a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in media planning and client management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team of planners and buyers.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
