Accountant – Finance Department (Serbia)

About the role

Glovo is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its Finance Department in Serbia. You will be responsible for handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily accounting activities, including posting journal entries and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting requirements.
• Assist the accounting team with reconciliations and month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and monitor changes in company policy, tax regulations, and legislation.
• Maintain original documents (contracts, VAT declarations, etc.) in line with company interests.
• Coordinate the yearly external audit and ensure accounting policies follow prevailing legislation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in accounting within a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with IFRS and general accounting standards.
• Experience with general ledger functions and attention to detail.
