AI Security Specialist – Secure AI Design & Governance

About the role

Proximus Global is seeking an AI Security Specialist to lead the secure design, deployment, and governance of artificial intelligence solutions across the organisation. You will work within the Security Governance team under the CISO, collaborating closely with security, privacy, AI, IT, and legal experts to embed security controls throughout the AI lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enforce AI security policies, standards and guidelines.
• Perform AI risk assessments, define mitigation plans and support audits, compliance reviews and certifications such as ISO 27001.
• Integrate security into all phases of the AI lifecycle – data collection, model training, validation, deployment and monitoring.
• Identify AI‑specific threats (e.g., prompt injection, data poisoning) and conduct threat‑modelling exercises.
• Assess third‑party AI tools, APIs and platforms, defining minimum security requirements for vendors.
• Provide expert guidance, awareness sessions and training on AI risks and safe usage to business and technical teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT security, risk management or governance.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts, architectures and threat landscapes.
• Deep understanding of cloud environments, data security and privacy principles.
• Experience with ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, GDPR and other data‑protection regulations.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks such as the EU AI Act.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
