Audit Consultant – Belgrade

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Audit Consultant to join its Belgrade office. You will act as a lead member of an engagement team, handling the full audit lifecycle from planning to fieldwork, research, and final review of financial statements and disclosures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements, including planning, execution, and coordination of review stages.
• Conduct research on audit and accounting issues and apply GAAP/IFRS standards.
• Review financial statements, disclosures, and supporting documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and career development.
• Collaborate with professionals at all levels and ensure timely delivery of audit deliverables.
• Travel to client sites as required for out‑of‑town engagements.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in auditing companies.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience supervising the work of others.
• University degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business, Finance, Organizational or Math sciences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving abilities and capacity to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Willingness to travel and work both independently and within a team.
• International project experience, ACCA or Chamber of Authorized Auditors license, and experience with financial institutions are advantageous.
