Automation Engineer

About the role

Heineken Serbia is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the brewery’s production processes. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining automation solutions, ensuring efficient operation while upholding Heineken’s standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement automation activities across the brewery, including measurement and regulation equipment.
• Carry out maintenance tasks to keep production running smoothly, on schedule, and at minimal cost.
• Monitor spare‑part conditions for planning and procurement purposes.
• Provide guidance and support during major equipment failures that cannot be resolved by shift staff.
• Participate actively in investment projects as a key player or team member.
• Lead or contribute to TPM initiatives and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Collaborate with the electrical maintenance team on daily tasks.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Windows environment and MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Advanced written and verbal English skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of frequency regulators, flow meters and measuring equipment (flow, pressure, temperature).
• Experience with Siemens PLC S7 series.
• Understanding of servo‑drive control systems.
• Familiarity with SAP applications (preferred).
• Experience with continuous‑improvement methodologies such as TPM, PS and Kaizen (preferred).
