Business Systems Lead – Demand Planning

About the role

The Business Systems Lead will act as the primary bridge between business needs and technology execution, focusing on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and the broader supply‑chain planning landscape. You will translate demand‑planning, S&OP, and inventory‑planning requirements into well‑designed, well‑configured solutions while ensuring stability and continuous improvement of enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technology delivery and system enhancements across projects using Agile or Stage‑Gate governance.
• Support software development, system configuration, integrations, upgrades, and patching to meet business and technical requirements.
• Gather and document technical requirements, translating business needs into system solutions.
• Drive IBP‑specific activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design workshops, SIT and UAT execution, defect resolution, change implementation, cut‑over, and hyper‑care across regions.
• Provide end‑user and super‑user support and training to drive adoption.
• Resolve production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement continuous‑improvement actions.
• Assist with software/hardware selection, purchasing, vendor management, and AMS support.
• Contribute to technology cost estimates, resource planning, data governance, data migration, and integration initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to technology standards, architecture, governance, and support IT controls, SOX testing, audits, and access‑management activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technology delivery for SAP IBP and supply‑chain planning solutions.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, S&OP, and inventory management processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile and Stage‑Gate project methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business owners, technology teams, and external vendors.
