Cost Controller / General Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Cost Controller / General Cashier to join the Finance team of a hotel. The combined role covers cost control, inventory monitoring and cash management, ensuring accurate financial records and secure handling of cash.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily sales reports and verify accurate recording of consumption in the inventory system.
• Record and monitor breakfast, employee meals and other internal consumption.
• Process purchase invoices, ensure timely posting and monitor price changes.
• Investigate negative stock balances, conduct spot checks and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage stock spot checks, expiry dates, slow‑moving items and coordinate monthly stocktakes.
• Prepare periodic cost and inventory consumption reports and explain variances.
• Participate in F&B cost meetings to improve cost control and reduce waste.
• Manage hotel cash funds and petty cash, perform daily counts and reconciliations.
• Prepare and process cash and bank deposits and reconcile payment transactions.
• Support month‑end closing, audit requirements and ensure compliance with cash‑handling procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in cost control, general cashiering or accounting, preferably in a hotel.
• Good understanding of inventory control, F&B costing, cash handling and basic accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to meet daily and monthly deadlines.
• Fluent English and ability to work with multiple hotel departments.
