About the role
Pet Media Group is scaling its Monetisation team and needs an Engineering Manager to lead a group of full‑stack engineers. This hands‑on leadership position combines people development with technical ownership of pricing, checkout, payment processing, subscriptions, product activation and escrow systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers through 1:1s, hiring and career development.
- Own delivery for the Monetisation domain, ensuring predictable, high‑quality releases aligned with revenue goals.
- Set technical direction, guide architecture and unblock complex problems while staying hands‑on.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to prioritise work across VAS, payments and escrow.
- Champion AI‑assisted development, encouraging the use of LLMs and AI tools in daily workflows.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing and growing software engineering teams.
- Strong engineering background with a critical, open mindset.
- Enthusiasm for AI‑enabled development practices.
- Experience in payments, fintech or related domains is highly desirable.
