Quality Engineering Manager

About the role

The Quality Engineering Manager defines and continuously improves the Quality Engineering strategy for all PAR Technology products. This senior leader provides both technical and people leadership to QA Automation Engineers, QA Architects, and functional QA Engineers embedded in development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define, evolve, and execute the Quality Engineering strategy across development projects, ensuring shift‑left quality and risk‑based testing.
• Lead, mentor, and develop QA Automation Engineers and QA Architects while providing functional guidance to QA Engineers in multiple teams.
• Drive AI adoption within the QE organization, identifying use cases for AI‑assisted test design, generation, execution, and analysis.
• Establish and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and support continuous delivery practices.
• Partner with Engineering and Architecture to set performance baselines, quality gates, and monitoring signals for critical product flows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven technical leadership in shaping company‑wide QA and Quality Engineering processes, standards, and strategies.
• Extensive experience in risk management, risk‑based testing, and managing large, complex QA initiatives.
• Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills to secure buy‑in for quality initiatives.
