Part-time Academic Peer Reviewer – Oncology (PhD)

About the role

This is a long‑term, stable part‑time position that allows you to work remotely as an academic peer reviewer in the field of oncology. You will evaluate manuscripts submitted to scientific journals, ensuring they meet high standards of originality, methodology, and ethical conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to oncology research.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are supported by the data.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and highlight any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
