SAP Data Migration Lead/Architect

About the role

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead/Architect to define and own end‑to‑end migration strategies for enterprise SAP projects. You will work closely with solution architects and cross‑functional teams to ensure data quality, traceability, and successful cut‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the data migration strategy in collaboration with solution architects.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute migration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead technical and functional teams in ETL processes, including extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Establish data quality objectives and validation criteria aligned with business requirements.
• Oversee delivery using LSMW, BAPIs, IDocs, SAP Data Services, and SAP Migration Cockpit.
• Ensure data traceability and integrity through mock loads, dry runs, and cut‑over phases.
• Identify risks early and propose mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, participating in governance and status reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics or related field.
• 5‑10 years of SAP experience, including at least 3 years leading data migration projects.
• Hands‑on experience with full‑cycle SAP migrations, preferably to S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP data structures across modules (MM, SD, FI, CO, PP, HR, etc.).
• Experience with cloud‑based migrations (GCP, AWS, Azure) and SAP MDG or similar data‑quality tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
