Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities within a complex group structure, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, month‑end and year‑end closings, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise bookkeeping and follow established accounting protocols for complex group transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts.
• Support accounts payable, invoicing, payroll, and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end, year‑end, and audit close‑out processes, including preparation of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Produce ad‑hoc financial reports and management/SH reports as required.
• Ensure data integrity through regular reconciliations, database backups, and adherence to internal controls.
• Assist the line manager with special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of corporate accounting or project costing experience, including audit exposure.
• Experience in a large organization or multinational, preferably in a capital‑intensive industry.
• Familiarity with multi‑currency structures, SPC/SPV entities, and consolidated financial statements.
• Strong analytical mindset and financial sensitivity.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Solid PC skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
