Senior Commercial Finance Analyst – EMEA

About the role

Ball is seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to partner with sales leadership across the EMEA region. The role blends strategic financial insight with hands‑on execution, supporting pricing strategies, commercial proposals, and bid analysis for a global aluminium packaging leader.

Key responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner to Sales Managers and Directors, delivering actionable insights and bid analysis.
• Support the development of pricing strategies and commercial proposals for regional customers.
• Apply commercial acumen, market awareness, and financial analysis to inform pricing decisions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and Legal to ensure robust, competitive proposals.
• Provide financial input and challenge in commercial discussions, escalating issues when needed.
• Monitor pricing trends and compliance requirements, ensuring all bids meet internal policies and legal guidelines.
• Develop pricing inputs for budgets and forecasts within assigned accounts.
• Own administration of pricing agreements, settlements, and hedging activities for designated customers.
• Maintain and enhance pricing and analytical models used by the Commercial Finance team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Pricing or similar roles within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
• Highly detail‑oriented, balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on tasks.
• Proven ability to work independently in a supervisory‑level role without direct reports.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, confident in influencing senior partners.
