Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

Glovo is seeking an Accountant for its Finance Department in Serbia to set up and lead in‑house accounting functions. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with local tax and accounting regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Post journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting requirements.
• Prepare reconciliations and execute month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Monitor changes in company policy, tax regulations, and legislation.
• Validate original documents such as contracts, VAT declarations, and other records.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual external audit.
• Implement accounting and financial policies in line with prevailing legislation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards and general accounting procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software such as Pantheon or SAP.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of general ledger functions and IFRS.
