AP Accountant (m/f/d)

About the role

The AP Accountant will join the Serbia Shared Service Center, supporting Spectro US operations. Reporting to the Controller, you will handle accounts payable, intercompany transactions, month‑end close and SOX compliance while working closely with US teams and adhering to US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices using three‑way matching, validate and track them, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Prepare and execute vendor payment runs (electronic and manual) and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Record intercompany AP transactions, freight‑related expenses, and corporate charges in the ERP system.
• Prepare month‑end journal entries, accruals and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations in line with US GAAP.
• Support quarterly SOX self‑testing, ensure compliance with SOX controls and assist internal and external audits.
• Post intercompany transactions timely and resolve any intercompany discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting or accounts‑payable experience.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to support the US time zone, including month‑end close.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and evaluate AI‑generated outputs.
