Armored Vehicle (Historical) Consultant (World of Tanks, PC)

About the role

Wargaming is seeking an Armored Vehicle (Historical) Consultant to join its Military Design and Research team for the World of Tanks PC game. The role combines historical research with the creation of accurate 3D models and technical documentation of armored vehicles from the 1940s to the 1990s.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with historians and external contractors to produce 3D models and drawings of military equipment.
• Search, collect, and systematize historical sources from the internet, archives, museums, and private collections.
• Provide consultancy on equipment, uniforms, and historical events to other company divisions.
• Review 3D models for historical and technical compliance.
• Develop vehicle concept sketches, scale schemes, and calculate principal technical specifications.
• Prepare detailed vehicle design descriptions using open‑source and archival materials.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering education.
• Strong knowledge of the history, structure, and layout of armored vehicles from the 20th‑21st centuries.
• Understanding of vehicle design fundamentals, armor protection, and tactical data.
• Proficiency in English (C1‑C2) and Russian for source material research.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Photoshop and other graphic editors.
• Experience using E‑Drawings and Blender for 3D work.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or comparable CAD tools.
• Competence with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
