Associate Director, HR PMO

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking an Associate Director to lead its HR Project Management Office (PMO). This senior position oversees portfolio governance, PMO operations and delivery performance across HR initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR Project Management function, including portfolio oversight, resource allocation and capacity planning.
• Maintain PMO governance, standards, methodologies, tools and operating rhythms.
• Partner with senior leadership to align portfolio plans with business and people priorities.
• Build project management capability, drive consistency across execution and delivery practices.
• Identify and implement improvements to PMO effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project, program, portfolio, HR or business operations leadership.
• Proven people‑leadership experience including coaching, development and performance management.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and executive reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity and drive execution in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
