Automotive "Flying Doctor" Technician (Freelance)

About the role

MSX International, a partner to vehicle manufacturers, retailers and mobility organisations for more than 30 years, is looking for a new Flying Doctor Technician. This is a freelance, field-based role covering all of Serbia, providing on-site technical support, especially on electrical buses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage escalated technical cases from front-line support, validate information, perform deep-dive analysis and define corrective actions.
• Provide remote and on-site support to dealers and technical teams so that vehicle repairs are carried out in a timely and effective way.
• Produce clear, structured technical reports for OEMs and internal stakeholders, highlighting risks, trends and areas for improvement.
• Monitor activity KPIs such as case ageing, recurrence and first-time fix rate, and flag early warning signals on product or process issues.
• Contribute to the technical knowledge base and best practices, supporting continuous improvement of Level 1 agents and workshops.

Required profile

• Strong automotive technical background with experience in diagnostics and complex repair in a dealer, workshop or OEM environment.
• Ability to analyse technical data, fault codes and log files to find root causes and recurring issues.
• Good verbal and written English, able to explain complex technical topics clearly.
• Team player with a proactive, logical and inquisitive approach, able to work in multi-market, multi-stakeholder environments.
