Business Controller (m/f/d)

About the role

Join the newly established European Controlling Shared Services Hub in Belgrade and become a key player in shaping daily Controlling Factory operations. You will work in an international environment, supporting strategic financial decisions and helping to raise reporting and controlling standards across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly financial and operational performance reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning processes.
• Monitor revenue, costs, margins and profitability, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Support business decisions through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data and reporting.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve business performance.
• Analyse variances against budgets and forecasts and explain key drivers.
• Develop and enhance KPI dashboards and performance metrics.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities in cooperation with accounting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• 3‑5 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A or Business Finance.
• Strong business acumen, analytical mindset and proactive, solution‑oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in Serbian and English.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Navision.
