Chief Accountant

About the role

LC Waikiki Retail Company is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead its accounting function across its extensive store network. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and supporting the finance team in a fast‑moving retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger entries.
• Submit periodic official declarations to government authorities.
• Manage accounting projects, documentation, and recruitment of project personnel.
• Maintain cost accounting calculations and control stock transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare payment lists, execute payments to suppliers and personnel, and reconcile accounts monthly.
• Support importation processes and manage relationships with external and internal auditors.
• Report regularly to HQ Finance and assist the Country Manager and local Finance Head with ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum six years of experience in a similar accounting position; retail experience is a plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment and under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of importation & exportation applications.
