Chief of Staff to the CTO

About the role

The Chief of Staff to the CTO will design and run the operating system of Fundraise Up’s engineering organization. You will own the leadership cadence, OKR and QBR cycles, decision‑tracking, and executive synthesis that reaches the CTO, executive team, and when needed, the CEO and board. This senior leadership position focuses on process and influence rather than line authority.

Key responsibilities

• Run the engineering leadership cadence and own director‑level syncs.
• Manage the OKR and QBR processes across the engineering org.
• Maintain a record of decisions, follow‑ups, and action items.
• Prepare executive summaries for the CTO, executive team, CEO, and board.
• Facilitate clear ownership and hand‑off of initiatives across directors and senior engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes in a distributed, remote environment.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in engineering operations, chief‑of‑staff, or similar leadership roles.
• Strong ability to influence without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Comfortable working with distributed teams across European and US hours.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with OKR and QBR frameworks.
• Familiarity with decision‑tracking and leadership cadence tools.
• Expertise in process design and execution within engineering organizations.
