Developer in Test (C# Automation)

About the role

Synechron, a global consulting firm, is hiring a Developer in Test for its engineering team, working in a hybrid model from either the Novi Sad or Belgrade office. The role focuses on test automation, technical testing and engineering excellence, working closely with developers, product teams and other quality engineers to build quality into the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test solutions using the same languages, tools and standards as the development team
• Create reliable, scalable automated tests and reduce manual testing
• Investigate test failures, troubleshoot issues and improve test automation effectiveness
• Use AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT to speed up test development
• Develop, maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and investigate issues in the application code when needed
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners and stakeholders on design, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Mentor team members on automation best practices and share knowledge across engineering teams

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on C# experience, including unit and integration tests, mocks and stubs and mocking frameworks
• 2+ years of API testing experience
• Proven experience with test automation, technical testing and quality engineering
• Valid work permit for Serbia

Required skills

• Strong experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Docker and CI/CD pipeline knowledge
• RESTful APIs, web services and application servers
• Interest in AI-powered development tools
• Plus: mentoring experience, cloud environments, performance or end-to-end testing, Agile delivery, energy trading or financial services systems
