Engineering Manager, Automations & Internal Tooling

About the role

Fivetran is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Automations & Internal Tooling team in Novi Sad. The team builds internal automations, tools and platforms that boost developer productivity across the company. You will shape strategy, guide architecture and stay hands‑on when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers delivering internal automation and developer tooling.
• Define and execute the roadmap for engineering automation, prioritising high‑impact opportunities.
• Partner with engineers and stakeholders to identify pain points and turn them into pragmatic solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, design and code reviews.
• Own delivery, balancing speed with reliability, maintainability and long‑term quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineers, with strong coaching and mentorship abilities.
• Deep software engineering background enabling guidance on design, implementation trade‑offs and complex system troubleshooting.
• Track record delivering end‑to‑end software projects from problem definition to rollout and operation.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear priorities and pragmatic plans.
