Finance & Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the finance function of an international manufacturing company operating in the Vojvodina region. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting oversight with strategic financial planning in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily finance and accounting activities and manage the finance team.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances and advise senior management.
• Manage accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and month‑end closing.
• Control production costing, inventory accounting, cost variances and manufacturing overheads.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Supply Chain and Management on cost control and business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls and company policies.
• Support audits and maintain relationships with external financial partners.
• Drive process improvements and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an international manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Good understanding of production/cost accounting and inventory management.
• Previous team leadership or management experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Analytical, structured and solution‑oriented approach.
• High attention to detail, integrity and discretion.
• Proactive mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced international production setting.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
