Financial Controller

About the role

As a Financial Controller you will act as a finance business partner for a dedicated business area such as Payments, Banking or Sales. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and analytical support that drives strategic and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering analytical support and business insight.
• Prepare financial analyses and ad‑hoc reports to inform strategic and operational decision‑making.
• Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and identify key business drivers.
• Monitor financial performance, flag risks and opportunities, and recommend proactive actions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, and Group Finance structures.
• Analyze profitability across different business dimensions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and standards in all financial processes.
• Improve the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of financial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Controlling, or finance business partnering, preferably in a multinational or group‑structured organization.
• Comfortable working in complex matrix and cross‑functional environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical mindset with a curiosity for understanding the “why” behind the numbers.
• Proactive, self‑reliant, and able to manage priorities independently.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
• Advanced English, both written and spoken.
